Kellen Scott is an artist and creative marketing professional working within corporate organizational structures, and the fine art community. He possess interdisciplinary experience with creative problem solving, branding, and creative marketing integration.
Born and raised in Chicagoland Illinois, shorty after high school Kellen joined the United States Marine Corps in 2002. After completing bootcamp and rigorous infantry training, he was deployed three times to conduct combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003 to 2006.
Returning from the Marine Corps to his greater Chicago area home, Kellen attended Northern Illinois University and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Visual Communication. He also cultivated his passion for drawing, painting, and the visual arts.
During his career, Kellen has worked in Chicago, Nashville, and Los Angeles. He served as the Director of Marketing & Creative for a Tennessee based manufacturing company, Old Hickory Smokehouse and was voted one of Nashville Business Journal's Chief Marketing Officers of the year in 2015. In his role, Kellen directed all aspects of the marketing and creative development, including digital, print, social media, exhibit, and CPG design. He also managed the content creation and marketing strategy with industry partners such as "Famous Dave" Anderson, and Jimmy Buffett's "Margaritaville" brand.
Subsequently, Kellen began working for Thomas & Company, the largest national privately owned unemployment cost control service provider. As the Director of Marketing and Sales Enablement, Kellen planned, directed, designed and implemented all marketing strategies supporting organizational growth, and sales operations.
In 2020 Kellen used his professional experience in support of his personal vision and relocated to Los Angeles to work as a studio manager and assistant for two internationally shown LA based artists. Now residing in Bentonville, Arkansas, Kellen has always been drawn to the challenging and compelling work of problem solving through visual communication. He has a history of providing creatively grounded solutions to complex problems.
